Desert Knolls Convalescent offers a 38 Bed Medicare Certified Unit staffed with highly qualified professionals.
What is a Medicare Certified Unit?
It is a skilled Unit within the convalescent that provides Medicare and HMO patients with the services necessary to recover from recent illness, such as strokes, fractures, or administration of IV’S and wound care treatment.
While in Our Medicare Unit your Physician and our Professional Healthcare Team will also develop a plan of care to expedite your return home. . .
Your Physician may prescribe one of the following therapies which will be provided by our Licenses Therapists and Healthcare Professionals. You may be receiving one or several therapies listed below:
Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech Therapy
Respiratory Therapy
IV Therapy
Would Care
Laboratory Services
Our Medicare Unit is a 24 hour Skilled Unit run by Professionals in the Health Care industry under direct order of your Physician.
When you are ready for discharge from our Medicare Unit. . .
When you have recovered and no longer require 24 hour skilled care, our Discharge Planners will assist you in arranging your discharge home. This decision will be made by you and your family physician, which may include a follow-up by a Home Health Agency. If you are not quite ready to return home, Desert Knolls also offers another 88 Beds of Custodial Level Care, which includes:
